Our Host and Guide

Tom is the host and guide on the streams

This beautiful 15 inch wild brown trout fell prey to a #12 tellico nymph drifted below a deep ledge that we discovered during a time of very low water caused by a drought in 2010.  We released him to return to his haunt to grow even larger.

Native brook trout are increasingly rare in the trout streams of the Appalachians.  A wild stream born brookie over eight inches is considered to be trophy size.  My buddy Ed caught this 15 incher on an elk hair caddis at the confluence of our two streams in the spring of 2020.
