Casting to trout on our small Appalachian stream is always a challenge with the streamside flora waiting to gobble the fly on each backcast. One quickly perfects the rollcast, or else! Small deep pools often hold the best chance for a catch, so accurate fly placement is a must. All our trout are wild (not stocked) and are wary and skittish. If you can catch trout here, you can catch them anywhere.
One of the pleasures at our cabin is the meal at the end of a day on the stream. We each try to "out-chef" the others.
Jared's seared scallops, roasted sweet potato cubes, asparagus with fresh grated parmesan, cabernet sauvignon, Southern iced-tea (of course).
